Award Value: Up to $2,500 Deadline Date: May/December
Be an Alberta resident, and to be considered an Alberta resident, the following conditions must apply:
One parent or legal guardian must have maintained permanent residence in Canada for at least 12 consecutive months immediately prior to the applicant commencing a program of study;
Applicant has maintained permanent residence in Alberta at least 12 months prior to commencing a program of study;
Applicant is not eligible to receive a scholarship for any grade unless the applicant or the applicant's parent(s)/legal guardian were a resident in Alberta throughout that grade.
Be enrolled in a full course load in a designated undergraduate post-secondary or an apprenticeship program of at least one semester in length.
Applicants must have at least a 75% average in at least 5 required courses from grades 10-12.

Award Value: Renewable for up to four years, with a total value of $100,000, each Loran Award includes:
An annual living stipend of $10,000
A tuition waiver of up to $10,000 annually from one of 25 partner universities
Personal mentorship from a Canadian leader
Experiential learning through summer work experiences in three different sectors with funding up to $14,000
An orientation expedition through Algonquin Park
Annual retreats and scholar gatherings
Lifelong membership in a community of values-driven individuals

Scholarship Requirements
Be entering university for the first time in September 2024.
Present a minimum cumulative average of 85%.
Hold Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status.
Be born between January 1, 2001 and September 1, 2007.
"Take Two is a small company with big dreams. Our reputation and success can be 100% attributed to the effort and passion we put into our work daily. This award aims to recognize an individual passionate about their work. A person who puts their best foot forward every day and whose level of energy is noticeable to others. We want to remind you that EFFORT is enough to fulfil all you strive to accomplish. Specifically, we are looking for a student who has displayed this passion and effort, especially within their local high school community. This award is not about achieving the most but about trying the hardest, being involved, and doing your best. This involvement could be in various areas, including (but definitely not limited to) athletics, the arts, academics and/or volunteer work."

Scholarship Requirements
All required parts must be in 1 PDF document that can be emailed to taketwo@taketwoinc.com. They do not accept Google Doc applications – it must be a PDF.
The order of documents is:
1) Cover letter which must answer the questions:
a. ‘Something I am really passionate about is’
b. ‘I am involved in my high school because’
c. ‘I am taking/not taking a full course load in grade 12 because'
d. ‘My next year plans are (university, college, year off, etc.)’
e. ‘My future academic/career plans are’
2) Profile of all your school-related activities (please distinguish between volunteer hours for credit vs. hours not for any credits)
3) Letter of reference from either the school principal or vice-principal*
4) Letter of reference from one teacher*
5) Student transcript (or most current report card if all efforts are made, and you are unable to get your transcript)
*either include this as parts 3 and 4 in your file, or it can be emailed directly to them for your reference.
