Outbreak Declared at Dr. Clark School

Outbreak Declared at Dr. Clark School

Tuesday, May 4th, 2021 - Due to the recent identification of 5 or more COVID-19 cases at the Dr. Clark School, Alberta Health Services has declared an outbreak.  The outbreak is set to be lifted on June 1st, 2021 as long as there have been no new confirmed cases in the school.

An outbreak is reported when 5 or more cases are confirmed in an investigation, where the disease could have been acquired or transmitted in the school. Contact tracers and public health officials will identify potential exposures and limit spread within the school.

If staff or students have not been identified as a close contact of a confirmed COVID-19 case but develop core symptoms as listed on the daily screening tool, please self-isolate at home and complete the AHS COVID-19 online assessment tool or call Health Link at 811 as soon as possible to arrange for COVID-19 testing.  For more information on COVID-19 isolation or testing go to FMPSD's Stay at Home Info for Parents website.

Student and staff health and safety is our priority. We will continue to work diligently with Alberta Health Services.

Thank you for your continued understanding as we navigate this fluid situation.
